Chris founded Cherry Tree Capital Partners in 2021 and formed BCT Development in 2023 after an 18-year career at the Irvine Company, where he served as President of the Apartments Division. Chris leverages his vast knowledge of commercial and multifamily real estate and capital market relationships to provide the strategic direction for our firm.

With more than 30 years of proven experience, Chris previously led the strategic reinvestment, asset management segmentation strategy, capital allocation, acquisitions and dispositions for the existing 62,000-unit portfolio at the Irvine Company. Chris also presided over the fastest period of growth in the company’s history by adding 22,000 new multifamily units to Irvine Company’s portfolio in his role overseeing acquisitions, due diligence, entitlements, product development, design and delivery.

Tim formed BCT Development after a 30-year career in commercial real estate and development spanning multiple institutions and product types, most predominantly within apartment development and homebuilding.

Most recently, Tim was the SVP of Capital Investments at Public Storage, where he was responsible for managing the nationwide development platform for the 3rd largest self-storage REIT in the US. His responsibilities included land acquisition oversight, entitlements, development execution, investment committee management as we as full P&L responsibility for the division, which executed over 200 deals nationwide during his tenure.

Prior to that, Tim spent a combined 20 years at AvalonBay, Greenbriar Home and, most recently, Irvine Company, where he was responsible for overseeing all land acquisitions, entitlements, development execution and investment management within the Northern California region, including over 12,000+ apartment units developed.
